Performance festival DIVERSE UNIVERSE II 2006 Tallinn-Pärnu

 Olete te kohanud performance’it tähtsatel kunstibiennaalidel? Kui seal neid ka on, siis ei ole need esindatud kataloogis ja kriitikud ei kirjuta neist. Kui palju performance’ikunstnikke on esindatud maalijate, installaatorite, videokunstnike, disainerite ja fotograafide seas paksudes värvilistes kunstiraamatutes? Mitte ühtegi. Kaasaegne kunst peab olema mugav, tarbijasõbralik, ootuspärane, muidu teda ignoreeritakse. Mainstream kunstimaailm on liiga laisk ja mugav.
Performance’ifestivali Diverse Universe II eesmärk on tuua kaasaegsesse kunsti tagasi eksperimendid, nonkonformism ja loovus.
Diverse Universe II performance’ikunstnikke murdmatu rinne koosneb Eesti, Saksa, Soome, Kolumbia jaTšiili vägedest.
Diverse Universe II on kontseptuaalne raamistik kolmele performance’isündmusele Eestis: Art Non Grata, Tehnoobia ja Off-topic.

 Have you ever met performance art in important international biennales? If there are some, they are not in the catalogue and critics do not write about them. How many performance artists are present among the stars of painting, installation, video, design and photography in fat and colorful contemporary art books? Not one. Contemporary art must be comfortable, well-packed, expected, otherwise it will be ignored. Mainstream art world is too lazy and comfortable. The aim of the performance festival DIVERSE UNIVERSE II is to bring experiments, non-conformism and creativity back to the contemporary art.
The unbreakable front of the performers of DIVERSE UNIVERSE II consists of the troops from Estonia, Germany, Finland, Colombia and Chile.
The project DIVERSE UNIVERSE II is a conceptual umbrella for three performance events in Estonia: Art Non Grata, Technobia and Off-topic.
